Look our for Clive James's contribution, which comes in the form of some observations about the poetry of e. e. cummins (1894-1962), to next Friday's edition of the already valuable BBC 2 series My Life in Verse , in which the actor, writer and performer Robert Webb is mainly concerned with exploring The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot (1888-1965), the first poem that captured his imagination. Kevin Cryan PS. The "two-time winner of the TS Eliot Prize for Poetry", Don Paterson, who discusses Eliot's poetic legacy for the programme, is also a fine guitarist who for a decade, beginning in the late 80s, ran the jazz-folk ensemble, Lammas, with one of my favourite English jazz musicians, Tim Garland.
