Title: Clive James & "My Life in Verse"
Post by Kevin Cryan on Today at 13:40
Look our for Clive James's contribution, which comes in the form of some observations about the poetry of e. e. cummins (http://www.poetryarchive.org/poetryarchive/singlePoet.do?poetId=7157) (1894-1962), to next Friday's edition of the already valuable BBC 2 series My Life in Verse (http://uk-tv-guide.com/pick-of-the-day/5+June+2009/documentary-my-life-in-verse-robert-webb/), in which the  actor, writer and performer Robert Webb is mainly concerned with exploring The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock (http://www.poetry-archive.com/e/love_song_of_j_alfred_prufrock.html) by T.S. Eliot (1888-1965), the first poem that captured his imagination.

PS.

The "two-time winner of the TS Eliot Prize for Poetry", Don Paterson, who discusses Eliot's poetic legacy for the programme, is also a fine guitarist who for a decade, beginning in the late 80s, ran the jazz-folk ensemble, Lammas, with one of my favourite English jazz musicians, Tim Garland (http://www.timgarland.com/).
