Following on from the 'Nice Little Earner' thread, I have come up with the ultimate covers album of PA/CJ songs. This will cause debate and suggestions or a certain amount of ire - or indeed a combination of both. Anyway, here goes. Canoe - Amy MacDonald Carnations on the Roof - Newton Faulkner Rain- Wheels - Amy Winehouse The Man Who Walked Toward The Music - Mika Wall of Death - Robbie Williams Hill of Little Shoes - June Tabor Laughing Boy - Suggs Master of the Revels - Mick Jagger Wristwatch for a Drummer - Phil Collins Beware of the Beautiful Stranger - Katie Melua The Last Hill - Elton John Sessionmans Blues - Jools Holland I See The Joker - Paul McCartney An Empty Table - Kylie Minogue I Have To Learn - Darius My Brother's Keeper - Bluehorses Fat Cat - Rolf Harris Prayers Against The Hitman - Bob Dylan As you can see, money is no object but all production and arrangements will be by Pete Atkin. I await your comments, criticims, brickbats etc. Ian

Though he had no great gifts of personality or mind, he was quite well respected.

Further thought has been, could we get The Darkness to reform to cover Black Funk Rex and the late great Alex Harvey would have done a wonderfully theatrical cover of I See The Joker. Ian

| All right, then: I'd prefer Franz Ferdinand for Joker. What about Rufus Wainwright for Touch Has A Memory? And Elvis Costello for Search and Destroy? And Elton John for Little Sammy Speedball? And Georgie Fame for Sessionman's Blues?

We've done this before. I'd really like to hear Rod Stewart do "Payday Evening" and Shirley Bassey sing "Faded Mansion on the Hill".

I had begun formal legal action to prevent Kylie singing An Empty Table but she has contacted me to settle out of court.
