| For Once |

For once all I can say is that maybe this time I was wrong
To think that I could cope with the hopeless, wild chaotic throng
Of sensations and reactions, the factions in my will
I'd easily agree to almost anything, just to let my mind be still
For once all that matters is the way I'm feeling now
For once I don't give a damn about the why, the when, the how
I am falling headlong, what I said long ago
Was said in another world so don't remind me, I don't much want to know
For once I was too cool and far too hip for my own good
I watched the world revolve around the spot where I stood
But now I've started spinning, now I'm winning and it's my call
The avenue of lights has changed to green
My foot is hard upon the floor
And this is once, for all
