In his last newsletter, Pete asks for requests for .pdf files of songs. This may not coincide with what he is thinking in terms of the songs he'd like other people to sing, but I would like to see, inter alia, An Empty Table,  Faded Mansion,  Between Us There is Nothing, A Man Who's Been Around, Femme Fatale, and Trophies of My Lovers Gone.

As for the format, what software are you using, Pete? I could handle files in Sibelius or Finale as well as .pdf, but I'm not sure how many of us use these. I think they're quite extraordinary programs and am only just beginning to scratch their surface.

Best,

Keith

Thanks for the suggestions, Keith.  Just what I nneded.   I'll get to work.

I'm using Finale's PrintMusic!, which seems to be able to do everything I need and more.   Seems to me anything more elaborate would be like using a Rolls Royce to deliver the milk, or a Range Rover to take the kids to school.

All the best

Meant to say:  I'm not intending to make these available in anything other than.pdf, first because as you say I'm sure that only comparatively very few people would be able to read them, and second because I don't really want to make them available in editable form.

I should say that I will need to get an official OK to post copies of the older songs that are covered by publisher's agreements, but that's just a courtesy and a technicality and I don't expect any kind of problem.

I'd like absolutely anything going, but An Empty table is high on the list of official versions of songs I'd like to be able to perform.

I'll second ANYTHING.

But I'm excited by even the thought of Thirty Year Man, A Dream of Fair Women, Just for Me (Amy's Blues) or The Road of Silk.

I wouldn't dare subject anyone to my vocal interpretations, but I'd love to have a go at playing them.

Or... y'know... ANYTHING else...
