Clive James's collection of poetry  Angels Over Elsinore has been shortlisted for this year's Costa Poetry Award (http://www.costabookawards.com/awards/thisyearshortlist2008.aspx).

The judges described Angels Over Elsinore  as "beautifully written, intelligent, full of ideas clearly communicated and feelings perfectly encapsulated".

"These are proper poems with musical structure that are clever, moving and memorable"

Clive's Angels Over Elsinore was pipped the post in the poetry category by A Scattering, Christopher Reid (http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors/?p=auth519CDABD11a0d20361jGn1E17718)'s tribute[url=http://www.scribd.com/doc/24763075/Extract-from-A-Scattering-by-Christopher-Reid-Arete-Books]extract here[/url] to his wife following her death in 2005, when the award winners were announced last night.
