A new Clive James poem called 'Fashion Statement' appears in the latest issue of the Times Literary Supplement (TLS).

Nicely self-deprecating it is too. There's a line or two that might chime with Midvodians:

To see the harbour glittering in the sun
Like fields of diamonds and the squall arrive
Across the water sudden as a gun
Was bound to bring the optic nerve alive...

This is where the fleeting yachts of summer go, isn't it?
