Title: Clive on John Updike
Post by Tiny_Montgomery on Today at 13:09
Clive has a well-judged review of John Updike's brilliant final poetry collection, Endpoint and Other Poems (published by Alfred A. Knopf in the US and by Hamish Hamilton/Penguin in the UK) in The New York Times, May 3 edition. Clive calls Updike's poetry "dauntingly accomplished," and his last volume of verse "a serious book indeed."
