Thanks folks - I was to put it mildly surprised when I got the letter saying my name had been submitted, although Gill had known for almost a year at that point. But it's really exciting and I am now looking forward to meeting her Maj on Valentine's Day.
Of course, Clive's gong is a couple of notches higher than mine, and hugely deserved.
