Have just watched the final episode of Tom Stoppard's adaptation of Ford Madox Ford's Parade's End, and noticed more than one occurrence of the phrase "No more parades", which is also the title of the second volume of FMF's tetralogy. Surely Clive is referencing this in the song Payday Evening, from which our forum also draws its name?
