He is entitled to his opinion, of course, but it's of no more interest than, for example, my own indifference to licorice. It is exactly the kind of rubbishing that can be applied with little effort to anyone or anything at all. It would take no more than ten minuites to knock out a similar piece on the subject of, say, Richard Thompson, Randy Newman, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, or whoever, but it would mean nothing. The bottom line is: no one who might actually deserve this kind of treatment is ever likely in practice to receive it.
