A Clive poem in the TLS.

Special Needs, a new free-verse poem by Clive, appears in the current edition of The Times Literary Supplement.
Unfortunately for those who would read TLS only because it published something by Clive, this poem is not avaliable free on-line. I'm sure that people interested enough will find some other means of getting hold of a copy of the TLS.

This is for those who did not read Special Needs when it was published in the the TLS.
I have just noticed that it's now published on Clivejames.com. It's quite an affecting poem that is worth reading more than once.

Indeed it is, Kevin. While I was there I indulged in a long-postponed reading of some of his recent poems, and had a great time.
I loved the one about the Australian suicide bomber. Only Clive would include Jaffas in his heavenly reward.

Particularly so for me, as I happen to have a son with special needs, though not so severe as the ones depicted in the poem..
