I'm sure I'm years behind the rest of you but I have recently discovered www.allmusic.com which appears to be an encyclopaediac wiki-like repository of all there is to be said about popular music.

The articles about Pete and Clive and the albums all appear to have been written by one Christopher Evans. I'm intrigued to know if he's a Voice. The articles are all erudite and interesting, and his views both positive on negative on individual tracks are well-argued. Winter/Spring is covered as well as the Lakeside Sessions and the 70s albums, so we are not talking about historic reviews.

Can anyone shed any light? Or will the real Christopher Evans step forward?

Hello Leslie

Chris is indeed of our parish, styling himself Pete's "PR guy in the West Midlands", and author of nine postings to this very forum, plus an indeterminate (to me at this time) number to the old email list. I should check out the site you mention and see just how good it is. Could it be that we owe Chris also for Pete's comprehensive Wikipedia entry, whose authorship was the subject of a recent question to MV?

If you click on the History tab in
Wikipedia then you can see all the hundreds of revisions that have been made to the article over the years and there are some familiar names there including one Theo Clarke, not sure who djdaedalus is though!

[BTW that MV members alphabetical list sorts in a very funny order Smiley]

djdaedalus - Aha! I remember that monicker. Our dear Dave Jones of Rochester NY, he of the witty taglines. Over two years since you last posted to MV, Dave. Come back -- MV needs you!

PS -- and thanks to the rest of you. I'd no idea so many had contributed.
