Title: Gig spreadsheet
Post by Jan on Today at 23:58
I've just updated the gig spreadsheet and Steve has been kind enough to put it up on the website.
http://www.peteatkin.com/download/petegigs.xls
It now includes the latest three gigs at Eastbourne, Sharpthorne and Sheffield. It was very pleasant going through the setlists again and reliving two of the three. It really was a lovely performance at Sheffield.

The least performed songs from the albums are now:
Unperformed:
AN ARRAY OF PASSIONATE LOVERS
OUR LADY LOWNESS
TIME AND TIME AGAIN
BLACK FUNK REX
DOOM FROM A ROOM
I'M CRAZY OVER YOU  (not CJ/PA)
I'VE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO
LONESOME LEVIS LANE
RATTLESNAKE ROCK
SHEER QUIVERING GENIUS
UNCLE SEA-BIRD
WHY?
URBAN GUERRILLA
WISEACRE
WITH HER IT GOES DEEPER
DAUGHTER OF THE SUN

One performance:
ALL I EVER DID
ALL THE DEAD WERE STRANGERS
THE DOUBLE AGENT
THE ROAD OF SILK
LET'S TRY THE WHOLE THING AGAIN
EARLY DAYS
MORE IN ANGER THAN IN SORROW
THE TIES THAT BIND YOU

Although there are probably a few there we would prefer not to hear again there are some pretty surprising titles in those lists, I would have thought, particularly Time and Time Again. I must admit that the first time I heard it the repetition jarred a bit although the lyrics are beautiful. I could have sworn that I heard The Road of Silk for the first time at Bristol but it wasn't listed in the setlist. As it was my first Atkin gig it never occurred to me that anyone would bother to take down a list of the songs.

Why is it that you only spot the mistakes when you've posted a document? This time its the font in the last column - nothing desperate. If anyone spots any real mistakes please let me know. Its quite possible that I may have missed out a song or two from the 1,982 performances listed!

Thanks, Jan, for the update, which came with unnervingly perfect timing. I won't say any more just now - all will soon be revealed....

I've just updated the gig spreadsheet (http://www.peteatkin.com/download/petegigs.xls) to include the gigs at Walthamstow and Bristol and am embarrassed to find that I missed a milestone. The last song at Walthamstow was the 2000th sung since 1996, and the day Steve and Pete started all this. So Bristol was the start of a new era!
The very anorakky can work out the average length of a song and how long Pete has actually sung in days. Answers on a postcard to...    ::)

Our redoubtable statistician Jan has added yet more dates and more songs to her already considerable tabulation of set-lists since the start of the revival. See the performances enumerated in the minutest detail here (http://www.peteatkin.com/download/petegigs.xls). (Microsoft Excel .xls spreadsheet for download, requires MicrosoftTM Excel for viewing in its intended form, E&OE, all rights reserved. May contain nuts).
