Title: Westminster Charing Cross Record Library
Post by Ian Hendry on Today at 15:11
I would be interested to know whether any of you MVs discovered Pete and Clive via Westminster Libraries' Charing Cross Road record library. If so, I should probably be on a percentage.

I first discovered Pete and Clive’s work 'cos of Kenny Everett (and I heard the broadcast that got him sacked). I was at Queen Mary’s College doing Law, and I was a member of a ridiculous number of libraries (seven plus, I think). Libraries were good in those days - Camden lent books, records, and physical works of art!

Westminster record library also let borrowers request LPs that the library would subsequently buy, so I bought all six of Pete’s records. I just let Westminster pay for them on my behalf.

I wonder if any of you have Me To Thank…

I have my older brother to thank. However, I wondered if the topic title "Westminster Charing Cross Record Library" might be a long lost Kinks track?
