A new gig for the diary:

The Coffee Lounge, St Andrews Church, Goldsworth Park Centre, Denton Way, Woking, Surrey, GU21 3LG.
[ At this time the lounge will not be serving food or drink, so it will be a 'bring your own' affair. ]
Admission will cost £10, cash on the door. It's not a large space, and there is no formal on-line booking, but reservations can be made by e-mail to <pawokiing2025@gmail.com> [sic*], stating name, number of reservations required, and (optionally) a contact phone number.

[ * e-mail address as quoted by Chris -- we might suspect a typo and duplicate our mail to 'pawoking2025'. Chris intends to update the Club website and produce a flyer in due course, so no doubt he will include the correct address, but in any case I'll check and confirm here before adding it to the Gig Guide -- SJB ]

I think by this he means that the "pawokiing" bit was indeed a typographical error in Chris Harris's e-mail, and not in the setting-up of the address. Or the other way round(!). Either way, you should now be safe in directing your reservation requests to:

pawoking2025@gmail.com

Hi All,
I'm largely duplicating here what I've just added to the "new member " thread but with less personal waffle.
Pete's next gig is on Saturday 21st June at Andy's community cafe in Woking GU21 3LG. This is a cafe area attached to St Andrews church, Goldsworth Park and the present home of the Anchor Folk club on alternate Thursdays.
Note that the cafe will not be open for food or drinks so it's a "Bring Your Own" event. (The Waitrose supermarket next door is open until 8)
Entrance is £10 cash on the door There will also be a raffle (this is a folk club after all) and as usual all profits go to the artist.
We aim to start as soon as possible after 7:30.
There's plenty of parking in the adjacent Waitrose car park.
