Anyone here know a good song about a stranger?
Jan (presently away from base) alerts us to the fact that next week's Guardian Music Readers Recommend feature is to be on the theme "songs about strangers" -- see today's print edition, Film & Music page 4.
Looks like an opportunity for a small boost to our hero's public profile...

Hey, we missed our chance for the week including May 23, they were asking for songs about carnivals and funfairs. Could think of two at least from PA!

Beware of the Beautiful Stranger and Wall of Death were nominated but just the once each.
It looks as though people nominate things to these lists as soon as the list is announced at midnight. I'm sure the first few entries get the most scrutiny so if there's a relevant topic it could be helpful to move fast. Not that I ever remember to check - have to set up an alert or something.
