Intrigued by Pete's account of his rediscovery of the song "Suit Of Lights", which he performed, for only the second time in public, at last week's gig in Woking?
 

 
Well, Pete has recorded a new demo of the song (complete with bonus unintentional ungual percussion accompaniment), which can now be heard here.

This "ain't too bad" at all Pete, in fact rather delightful I find. It certainly warrants reviving from the Footlights Tapes. Rather miraculous to be given a hearing after well over half a century. Something I'd have thought would stir some of us die-hards to offer their thoughts and appreciation of this latest little gem. THANK YOU Pete and Steve.

Terrific - a real pleasure to hear this.  I keep thinking subconsciously that it's the lead track from a new album (I wish!).  I'd be very interested to hear what anyone makes of lyrics that seem a bit impenetrable to me - but I love the line about the first flakes talking the others down - another example of Clive importing a military image into everyday life. Anyway thankyou Pete and Steve and all for this : class CJ/PA surely.  Smiley
