If you're looking for a good musical afternoon for a good cause, then Gill and I cordially invite you to attend the event we are organising in Harrow on Sep 8th in aid of Cancer Research UK, at the Bannister Centre, Uxbridge Road.

Relay For Life (our second) is an uber-fete surrounding a 20-hour Relay by teams who are committed to walk, skip, dance and spacehop around a sports stadium day and night, having raised sponsorship money. The event is also an opportunity to support and be inspired by those who have survived cancer, and to remember and reflect on the lives of those who succumbed.

The fun starts just before 1pm with the local cheer-leaders performing a routine. This followed by the Opening Ceremony at 1.30 and Survivors Lap- attended by the local MP and Mayor of Harrow. During the afternoon we have several musical acts:

- The Flash Angels: 7 girls who won the Sony UK TV Bolloywoood dance title this year

- 1st Steps: A line-dance lesson and mass dance around the track

- Diva! - a jazz and funk 7-piece band are doing two sets - an afternoon funk and evening cocktail bar set.

- Gina West: an amazing gospel singer who will open our Candle of Hope remembrance ceremony at 8.15pm unaccompanied

Admission is free but our teams hope you will patronise their fete stalls, or buy a candle of hope to remember a loved one.
