Title: POD POSTER
Post by Seán Kelly on Today at 14:12
Wow - the new Pod Poster is eye-catching and distinctive.  Who is the artist who has rendered Pete in such a colourful way ?  He looks younger than ever- a distinctive change from the old moustache logo of old (looking down on the modern Pete like some Obi Wan Kenobi in the new poster I see!)

Where do I find the poster? Seem to have missed it.

Just about half-way down the home page, in the 'gigs' section (click the small image to view a larger one).

Where have you been looking?

Ahem. I was using Firefox, who seems to keep peteatkin.com in its cache, without alerting me that there was a change to the site. Strange.

Looking forward to Saturday,

As stated in the programme, it was my wife, Rebekah, and I who designed the poster.

We wanted to do some sort of eyecatching design, and as it was at the 'Woodstock' we decided to play on this, with just a nod to  an event of a couple of years back at a similarly named place.  A few other ideas were considered (one consisting of a large number of 'Petes' in the audience as well as on stage, but you will just have to imagine what that would have been like...!!)

As you can see this is my first post to Midnight Voices (I have only been with Midnight Voices 6 years plus....!)

And a superb job it was too! My copy (part of my ill-gotten stash of MoM booty) will take pride of place on my wall (pity I didn't think to get Pete to sign it, but...!)

Cheers

Paul

Hi there!

I agree it's an excellent piece of artwork.
Personally I think it's miles better than the stuff for the last couple of tours.

I have mine on the wall in my (home) office.
I can just see it now in the little mirror on my monitor
(which I have in order to prevent anyone creeping up on me unobserved!)

I would have liked to see the "many Petes in the audience" thing.  Sounds good too.

Still paranoid after all these years in Herts.....

Hi Chorus

[I didn't know where to post this, since there doesn't seem to be an 'Atkin Trivia' board!]

Students of the diverse names which Pete has enjoyed through the years -- Atkins, Aitken, Aitkin, Atkinson etc. -- will be amused to learn of another, quite spectacular one...

Our Postie delivered yesterday the payment confirmation from 'Out Of Hand Ltd.' (co-incidentally in Bristol) for the PoD posters.

So who exactly is 'Pete Antigoni' ?!

Cheers

Andy

One for the list -- an outfit arrived (I forget what) from Berman's costume hire for a What Are You Doing After Show? recording labelled "P. Aitican"
