Title: Unsold Hillside stock discovered!
Post by S J Birkill on Today at 03:42
Near-miraculous find in Bristol basement! Two boxes of mint-condition pressings of the original (2001) individual CD volumes of "The Lakeside Sessions" (http://www.peteatkin.com/disworks.htm#tlscd1) have been found, after having long being considered extinct. Rather than re-inter them, their discoverer, one Mr P R Atkin, has elected to sell them on the open market, through an Internet-based retailer, the Hillside Music Shop (http://www.peteatkin.com/hillshop.htm).

Content is exactly the same as the later double-CD version, and represents a 21st-Century reworking of a selection of songs, some of which would have been included on Pete Atkin's seventh LP album back in the 1970s, had events taken a different course. Pete revived many of these for his Monyash Festival performance in 1997, and without the support of Midnight Voices, some of the greatest Atkin/James songs, including History And Geography, Canoe, A Dream Of Fair Women, Femme Fatale, The Eye Of The Universe, Search And Destroy, The Commercial Traveller and You Alone Will Be My Last Adventure, might have been lost forever.

Buy now (as they say) while stocks last!

Steve

This will surely point a horde of treasure hunters in the direction of Bristol's basements.
Knew all along that The Lakeside Sessions were immortal.
