The first time I ever heard of Pete was in a rave review of DTMA in Melody Maker by Richard Williams who now writes for the Guardian. In Friday's edition, he wrote a piece about the indescribable Johnny Hallday which included the words "mythical America." I wonder if he still plays the record or was it an unconscious flashback. Or just one of those things?

...and, of course, the excellent Michael Marra wrote and recorded 'Johnny Hallyday (Je vous salue)' - probably can be heard on the audio section of MM's website.
