South Tyneside's local newspaper for March 25th, 'music' pages. Terry Kelly writes:

PETE ATKIN
Beware of the Beautiful Stranger...plus (Edsel Records)

BRILLIANT songs never age, as this welcome reissue amply demonstrates.

Pete Atkin provided the music for lyrics by famous Aussie critic, TV presenter and poet Clive James throughout the early 1970s.

The first fruits of their creative partnership have now been re-released.

A wonderful marriage of words and music, this debut album from 1970 is joined by subsequent releases Driving Through Mythical America, and the double albums A King at Nightfall/The Road of Silk and Secret Drinker/Live Libel. 9/10. TK.

Thanks to MV member Tiny Montgomery for this.
