Thanks Mike. I followed the link and really liked the poem. I know nothing about either of the paintings, but I could see what he was getting at.

For some reason it reminded me of the elaborate stage directions that some playwrights include at the beginning of a scene, and the ones at the beginning of "Macbeth" (oops, I mean "Shakespeare's Macbeth"). I think it is something like "An open space."
