Did any MVs get to the Shrinks gig at the Folk House?
Did it follow the normal pattern of a number of solo spots followed by the Shrinks en masse? If so what was the Atkin contribution?

Hi Jan (I think this bit of the forum is probably just for you and me.) Yes, we put our usual self-supporting system into operation. I kicked things off with Kenny O'Dell's 'My Rockin' Days' segueing into Chip Taylor's 'The Real Thing' followed separately by James and Atkin's festive 'Here We Stay'. The Shrinks' set included a couple of first-timers: John Prine's 'Silent Night All Day Long' and Tom Waits's 'Chocolate Jesus' as a bit of antidote, with yours truly on virtual harmonium.

Unfortunately I coundn't make it (I was busy singing carols), but you could have heard "Chocolate Jesus" (and Pete's new one, "I've got me to thank") at the June gig at the Folk House.
BTW, Pete, is the one I wrote down as "Time to burn" the same as "Here we stay" that you played at Wavendon?

For inf: 'Chocolate Jesus' in June was by Mr Brown solo, this time it was by the whole band. And, no, 'Time To Burn' was another new J-A one, its only performance to date.
