Here's notice of a recent guest appearance, made at less than 24 hours notice, whence the lack of advance warning -

Sounds like a brilliant gig. Great to read about the music spanning the generations.

Hey, we saw her at a poetry slam at the Cheltenham Literature Festival last year, the night before that Pete-produced Martin Jarvis Wodehouse thingy. She was brilliant, effortlessly outclassing performers half a century younger and wearing a Monsters of Rock t-shirt.

The snows of yesteryear is also known on Simon Wallace's Myspace page as A magician's confession:

The voice isn't credited but sounds a bit familiar!

Fran was on fine form, feisty and funny as always and probably some other effs as well (the M.O.T.H.E.R. poem always makes me laugh), but increasingly frail and limited in sight and movement, so her performances get increasingly treasurable.  The other singers were all on specially good and generous form too.   And that nice Mr Wallace worked hardest of all as he held it all together.
